Where we started from

The great-grandfather Michelangelo at the end of the 19th century was the first who became passionate about this profession. He traveled around the land of Bari to buy delicious almonds in shell from the many farmers.

In the 1940s, Michele Burdi invented the first shelling machine. Years later, together with his children and son-in-law, he installed a primordial line of peeling almonds.
